Corrections Policy
Accuracy is central to our work, and no reporting process is perfect. When we get something wrong, we want to know, and we will fix it openly.
How to Report an Error
Use the form on this page or email nospinmedia.ai@gmail.com with the subject "Correction request". Please include:
- the link to the story (or its headline and date);
- what you believe is incorrect; and
- any source that supports the correction, if available.
How We Review Reports
- Every report is read by a person. We aim to review reports within two business days.
- We check the disputed information against the original and additional sources.
- If the story is wrong, we correct it. If it is accurate but unclear, we clarify it. If the report doesn't hold up, the story stays as it is.
- If you include your email address, we will try to let you know the outcome.
How Corrections Are Shown
- Correction
- For a substantive factual error, such as a wrong name, number, date, quote, or description of events. We fix the text and add a dated note at the end of the story explaining what was wrong, for example: "Correction, October 12, 2026: An earlier version of this story misstated the number of people injured. It was 12, not 21."
- Clarification
- When a story was accurate but could be misunderstood, or left out context that matters. We revise the text and add a dated clarification note.
- Update
- When a developing story changes because new information becomes available, rather than because of an error. We note that the story was updated.
- Minor fixes
- Spelling, grammar, formatting, or broken links that don't change the meaning of a story are fixed without a note.
We do not quietly change the substance of a story. We remove a published story only in rare cases, for example for legal reasons or if its central premise proves false, and when we do, we say so.
Copies Shared Elsewhere
Our stories are also shared on social media, partner platforms, and our RSS feed. Those copies may not reflect later corrections. The version on nospin.media is the official record and carries any correction notes.
